Now that most of the holidays are over, what presents did you recieve? Any really cool ones? I got some pretty nice gifts this year. They included a 20 gb IRiver h10, a very soft real leather coat, some clothes and jewelry, three CDs, a huge stuffed Eeyore (he's one of my fave Disney characters), and some money and gift cards. Overall I had a great Christmas. I even got to spend some time with family I haven't seen in a while. So, how about you?

I got a plate of food from my neighbors. Delicious tamales, potato salad, molé, and a cold beer. Some doritos too. lol I got to listen to a lot of music too, rancheras, baladas, and the laughter of kids. They partied all night, until 3 or 4 in the morning. I was asleep by 5 am though. lol

The coolest thing I got was a good kitchen nife set. It's Chicago Cutlery, which is a great brand. Me with knives...Look out, world. Grin. But seriously, I do like to cook, and these will be helpful. I also got a really pretty, soft sweater. And, though it wasn't intended as a Christmas present, my friend paid for me to get an hour massage. Ahhh, happy muscles. And my Christmas present to myself is that I get to go home and see my Missy Cat tomorrow. Yay!

Hi, all. My absolute favorite Christmas present from this year is a USB beverage chiller. that's right, it's a device that plugs into a USB port on your computer and acts as a chilling plate. They also make USB-powered hot plates too, in case you have coffee or hot chocolate. I took my chiller to work, and have it plugged into the back of my computer there. It's awesome. I also got a really nice black pair of boots, new jeans, and of course, money. Gotta love the cold hard cash. It is useful, and I can think of a lot of good stuff I can buy with it.

More than getting presents though, I have to be honest. The coolest thing I got this year was giving presents to friends and family, and watching them open them, and smile, etc. I know that sounds cliche, but it's the truth. That's what I like best.

Hi all,
I got a new boom box, because the cassette recorder on my old one stopped working. 3 bottles of perfume, one of which is elizabeth taylors white diamonds, don't know the name of the other 2, 3 cd's of the rock and roll 50's, 3 old country cds, a 7 dvd collection of bible stories, which are full length movies, over 15 hours altogether, 3 very small but neat cd holders. there is a flap on one end and you open it, and there is some velvet like stuff where you put the cds, then you turn it over and there's another side that holds cd's. each side holds 11 cd's, making a total of 22 cd's. also got 4 books, 3 on cds and one on tape. actually I got 5 audio books counting the one from my cousin in iowa. and a pack of blank cassettes to record stuff on from the radio. it was a great christmas. I had to learn how to work my new boom box, so mom spent a good while working on that. it's a bit confusing, because the radio and th ecd part of it work together. fortunately the cassette player is still separate from the radio and cd part of it, and the buttons that work the cassette player are positioned in the same places as on my old one. wonderwoman

I got a box set of DVDs of season 1 of the Munsters TV show, lots of comfy clothes, assorted gift cards and checks from the extended family, and lots of candy and snacks and things including some dark chocolate-covered expresso beans.
I should also mention the two items that were bought for the whole family. I bought us the Hamilton Beach talking microwave oven, and my fiancee bought, with my help, a combination VCR and DVD player for the living room TV so we don't have to tie up the computer to watch movies out here. Everyone else got what they wanted as well, and we have gift cards and gift certificates for various stores and restaurants, too.

I've finished volume 1 already and that's my favourite Christmas present with the pocket DAB radio a very, very close second favourite, some heart earrings which keep blimming falling out soon after I put them in, a magnetic sculpture set, another magnet set with loads of rods, iron balls, and other bits and pieces so you can make a lot more things with it and a magnetic globe puzzle which is still in its, 72 rather small pieces lollol.

Money, chocolate, cloathes.

Post 31 by bozmagic (The rottie's your best friend if you want him/her to be, lol.) on Friday, 05-Jan-2007 6:46:08

Yeah. DAB radio is deffinitely CD quality. You don't get any of the snaps, crackles, hisses and pops procuced by Analogue radio. We can receive up to about 60 different stations where I live in Surrey, but in places like Cornwall and the South West region, you can only receive about 20 stations at a pinch.

Post 32 by Reyami (I've broken five thousand! any more awards going?) on Friday, 13-Apr-2007 5:40:38

I got two sweaters, several CD's, a pair of shoes, and the fourth season of SpongeBob Square Pants on DVD.
